March 2012

a peek

A peek at the Ilana Kohn scarf I just got in the mail. If I manage to take a decent picture of myself wearing the scarf I'll post that soon too. In the meantime, I thought I would post these pictures I took as I unwrapped it. Isn't it so, so pretty? The marbling effect is just so cool looking in person, even more so than in a photo. I am starting to have quite the scarf collection!

blue and orange

Just realizing how much I like this color combination.

spring

Gorgeous new spring arrivals from Anaise. The color palette, lighting in the photos, and of course the beautiful clothes themselves are just perfection. Congratulations, Renee!

p.s. If you take a look at Renee's blog, you might spot a picture of me!

...

My mom was on vacation recently and sent me these pictures. I really like the one on the left, in particular, because of the warm looking sunlight.

weekend

It rained all day long on Saturday, but on Sunday the sun was out most of the afternoon. We took advantage and took lots of walks. We finished up the weekend with one of my favorite meals, a big bowl of pozole.

Ilana Kohn

Ilana Kohn's spring collection is seriously lovely. And, she designed all the textiles herself! You can see more images from her lookbook on her blog.

Congratulations to Ilana on a beautiful collection!

breakfast

Toasted challah bread for breakfast, from a new deli in our neighborhood.

spring

It's the first day of spring and the first day for bare legs so far! Took an early morning walk for some coffee and brought it back home to enjoy the sunshine on my front stoop.

I was just catching up on some of my favorite blogs, and I was beyond thrilled to see Lotfi was featured on HG and Odette NY! A big thank you to Ashley and Jennifer!

q+a

Caitlin invited me to participate in a q+a on her lovely blog. You can read the interview here. Thanks Caitlin!

weekend

This weekend was pretty quiet, although we did make it out to the movies and to a very nice dinner on Saturday. On Sunday I made some lucky finds at a thrift shop and went for a long walk.
