The goal for the kitchen was to bring in warmth and increase functionality.

The previous kitchen layout with an awkward corner cabinet, busy granite countertop, and gray laminate flooring.

Butcher block countertops bring new warmth to the kitchen, as does Farrow and Ball’s faded terracotta paint on the walls. As a temporary measure, the laminate floors were painted in a checkerboard pattern.

The upper cabinets next to the sink were removed to open up the kitchen area.

A new kitchen door brings more light into the space. Cabinets are painted in Farrow and Ball’s sand.

A vintage Greogry van Pelt pendant hangs in the breakfast nook.

Faux plastic window muntins are disguised with a coat of paint.

Painting by Rhoids; vintage chair and rug.
